A self portrait of Teha and I as a fairy queen and princess.

I really had heaps of fun making this picture - I'm particularly happy with our faces. (OK so maybe our wings aren't really that big in real life ...)

The arches were inspired by a photo I took of a church in Bendigo. Teha's dress was modeled on one sewn for her by her grandmother Mitty. My dress is a work of fantasy... unfortunately!

I definitely spent the most time I've ever spent on a picture so far on this one :-) Thanks to hubby for looking after Teha and to Teha for having naps so I could get this done!

Update: fixed the grass, wings, contrast, a couple of other little things.

The daughter looks as if she’s like,"Huh? What is that man over there doing?" Hehe. The background fits in very well with the rest of the image. The folds in the clothing and the details are awesome. Amanda Jane Penrose replies: "I’ve tried doing grass by hand and it always looks dreadful - so I resort to the Photoshop brush, which does a much better job! Thanks for the compliments on the detail, I did spend a lot of time on this one "
